Nicola’s photography career began in New Zealand, shooting features, portraits and covers for national magazines. She has travelled widely for both her own projects and commissions for Comic Relief and VSA, an international development agency, to places such as Peru,Tanzania, East Timor and the Solomon Islands.

Her work has appeared in numerous publications including the Independent, the British Journal of Photography, Next Level, Ojodepez, and National Geographic, and she has also exhibited throughout the UK and internationally.

Since moving to London in 2002 her work now includes commissions from the film industry - shooting stills and portraits for such films as Brideshead Revisited, In The Loop and The Inbetweeners Movie.
